THE JOEY D LIFESTYLEWhat I Use

WHAT I USE

The books you return to. The films that change how you see. The tools you reach for without thinking. The things you cook with, create with, and train with.

This isn't a list of everything I own. It's a collection of things that have earned their place.

01

FILMMAKING + PHOTOGRAPHY

I’ve wanted to be a filmmaker since I was eight years old and saw Jurassic Park.

There’s an endless amount of equipment out there, but I’ve never wanted to get bogged down by the gadgets. I’d rather have tools that let me move easily, work independently, and stay focused on the story.

These are the cameras, lenses, audio gear, and other tools I trust to get the job done, especially when the filmmaking crew is just me.

02

KITCHEN

Cooking has been a passion of mine for more than 25 years.

Food has to do two things for me: fuel my body and taste incredible. I care about what goes into it, but I’m also a foodie at heart. I want depth, flavor, and a little luxury on the plate.

These are the ingredients, tools, and gadgets that have earned a place in my kitchen.

03

ACTIVE LIVING

To say I’ve been on a journey with my weight would be an understatement.

At my heaviest, I was 400 pounds. My journey with weight and fitness has had plenty of ups and downs, but over the last year, I’ve become more locked in than ever. Training has become a huge part of my life and part of how I’m working toward becoming the healthiest version of myself.

These are the things I use to move, train, bike, kayak, and live actively.

ITEMS THAT SHAPED ME

Books, films, and other works that left something behind.
